What Is a Mystery Bounty Calculator?
A Mystery Bounty Calculator gives a cash-denominated average bounty a proportional value in tournament chips and big blinds. It compares the bounty with the tournament's chip supply and the monetary prize pool used in the calculation. The output is a study estimate, not chips added to a player's stack, exact ICM, or real-time strategic advice.
How to Use the Mystery Bounty Calculator
Choose Mystery Bounty, then enter the total entries, starting chips, players left, total buy-in, and current big blind. If the lobby shows an average bounty, select I know the average bounty
and enter it directly. Otherwise, select Calculate the average bounty
and keep or adjust the bounty-pool share, which defaults to 50%.
For common buy-ins, the calculator suggests the prize-pool contribution per entry: the amount allocated to prize money rather than the fee. Enter that contribution yourself when a structure is not recognized. You can type values or use optional local screenshot autofill; manual entries stay in control. The result updates when the required fields are complete.
How Is a Mystery Bounty Converted to Chips?
The calculator first derives the total tournament chip supply from total entries multiplied by starting chips. It divides that supply by the monetary prize pool used for the calculation to produce a chips-per-dollar rate. When remaining-pool data is available, the monetary value is the remaining regular prize pool plus the remaining bounty pool. Otherwise, Mystery Bounty mode uses the derived initial prize pool based on entries and the prize-pool contribution per entry.
The average bounty is multiplied by the chips-per-dollar rate to produce its chip equivalent. If you ask the tool to calculate the average Mystery Bounty, it divides the available remaining bounty pool by the number of players left. When no more specific remaining-bounty total is available, the estimate uses the initial bounty pool derived from the selected bounty-pool share.
How Is Bounty Value Shown in Big Blinds?
After finding the bounty's chip equivalent, the calculator divides that figure by the current big blind. The result appears in BB alongside the chip value, making it easier to compare the same bounty with tournament stack sizes as the blind level changes.
Mystery Bounty vs PKO Bounty Value
Mystery Bounty mode works with an average bounty, entered directly or estimated from the pool. PKO mode uses the specific bounty to win together with the remaining regular prize pool and remaining bounty pool. Those two remaining pools form the monetary prize pool used for the PKO conversion. Both modes apply the same proportional chip and BB conversion, but they ask for different bounty and prize-pool inputs.
